Yvette Elbaum is ons niet onbekend. Haar zoektocht aangaande de symboliek van de mensheid wordt zichtbaar in haar werk als plastisch kunstenares. Op het moment houdt zij zich bezig met het feit dat het vrouwelijke principe - van geweldloosheid - te weinig aanwezig is. Dit principe lijkt zo schaars te worden, dat een ondervraging van meer dan duizend vrouwen haar geen geschikt antwoord kon geven op haar vraag naar een definitie van het vrouwelijke principe.

Zij licht haar project voor het monument als volgt toe:

"Door een afbeelding, in dit geval een monument, een uitgebreid plan inspirereren dat het herstel van evenwicht tussen vrouwelijke en mannelijke archetypische aspecten zou aanmoedigen.
Een concrete afbeelding op een abstract idee bouwen om de heropleving van het vrouwelijke principe door ondervraging te stimuleren.
Meer zichtbaarheid geven aan het enorme potentieel van de vrouw in de wereld, door een vastberaden optimistische afbeelding.
Gezien de viering van de 60ste verjaardag van de verklaring van mensenrechten in 2008, leek het mij juist nu gerechtvaardigd deze compositie te bouwen die hulde brengt aan de vrouw in haar voornaamste hoedanigheid, namelijk als mens !"

Yvette Elbaum ne nous est pas inconnue. Son interrogation, à propos des symboliques de l'humanité, se décode à l'analyse de sa démarche plasticienne. À ce jours, elle s'attaque à la carence du principe féminin, principe de non violence qui semble aujourd'hui se raréfier, à tel point, nous confie-t-elle, qu'après avoir fait un sondage auprès de plus de mille femmes à ce propos, aucune d'entre-elles ne pu lui en donner une définition appropriée …. ! ? !

Elle explicite son projet de monument en ces termes :

« Chaperonner par une effigie, en l’occurrence un monument, un vaste projet qui inciterait à la réinstallation de l’équilibre entre les pôles archétypaux féminin et masculin.

Édifier une image concrète sur une idée abstraite pour stimuler la résurgence du principe féminin par l’interrogation.

Offrir plus de visibilité en ce qui concerne le formidable potentiel de la femme dans le monde, par une image résolument optimiste.

Sachant que 2008 fêtera le 60ème anniversaire de la déclaration des droits de l'homme, il me semblait particulièrement judicieux d'édifier cette composition qui rend hommage et affirme la femme dans sa condition première d'être humain ! "

Yvette Elbaum is not unknown to us. Her questioning, regarding the symbolism of humanity, is decoded through the analysis of her approach as plasticienne. At this stage, she addresses the deficiency in feminine principle, principle of non violence which seems today to become scarce, to a point, she says, that having made an enquiry with more than one thousand women on this question, none of them has been able to provide an appropriate definition.!?!

She explains her plan for a monument in these terms:

“To inspire by an effigy, in this case a monument, a vast plan which would encourage the reinstatement of equilibrium between feminine and masculine archetypal poles.
Build a concrete picture on an abstract idea to stimulate the resurgence of the feminine principle through questioning.
Give more visibility to the tremendous potential of the woman in the world, by a resolutely optimistic picture.
Knowing that 2008 will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the statement of human rights, it seemed to me particularly adequate to build this composition which pays tribute and asserts the woman in her primary dimension of human being ! "
